About Moorings Otago
My name is Kevin Waters.
Whilst I was born in Port Chalmers, I traveled throughout New Zealand before settling in Dunedin's North East Valley, from where I run my mooring service business. I am a bit of a 'Jack of all Trades' and started this business after a search for someone to service my own mooring proved fruitless.
Originally I built a small barge so as to enable me to lift and service my own mooring. The word quickly got around and I soon started to receive requests from other local boaties to help out with their mooring requirements. That was some years back and I now own a MSA (Maritime Safety Authority) registered barge complete with all necessary safety gear for servicing moorings throughout the Otago area.
In addition to servicing moorings I can also provide all the equipment (chains, shackles etc.) at a very competitive price. Should you wish to source your own, that's also fine.
I have recently had my car transporter trailer upgraded by Kevin and am very happy with the results. The work was done to a very high standard and he used his knowledge and skill to vastly improve the useability of the trailer. I will definitely be getting Kevin to do any other repairs or modifications that I may require.–Alan
